Case of Marwa al-Sherbini who was killed in German Court
I produced series of mails that I am attaching here so that people can see how media of Pakistan closed their eyes and ears over the issue of Muslim woman who became a victim to Western barbaric terrorism. Readers can see public carbon copy of my actual emails that I also posted on public group youth-today@yahoogroups.com. You can join the group at following address
In above group you can find views of different members of community on the disappointing role of media of Pakistan, you are also encouraged to have your say on the group youth-today.

Asalamualikum,
My name is Muhammad Atif Qureshi, I am studying in KAIST under scholarship.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lSmIcEbCHQ
I would like to share news with Geo TV so that Geo TV can cover this news of terrorism and brutality conducted in Germany against a Muslim woman. Geo is well known in covering much of the news like when flogging of girl took place , it was Geo that aired the news for several hours and even launched a campaign for days. Geo TV was the leading channel that took different point of views from different thinkers, politicians and parties of Pakistan. Geo TV interviewed TTP leadership's stance over flogging. That converage by GEO TV on flogging issue was a campaign for its viewers in the form of message and opening eyes.
The issue , that I put forward to GEO, is of more importance than flogging in swat as this time the bruatility is done by literate society of West against an innocent Muslim woman worse than flogging. Flogging as was percieved to viewers was conducted by less educated people, but the crime that I put forward is conducted by the world's finest educated people of west. I expect GEO TV to cover this news as a campaign , as an eye openner that ranges more than couple of days as they did in flogging issue, I expect GEO TV to get views of thinkers, politicans and parties just like they get views on flogging issue. I expect GEO TV to conduct interviews from officials from Germany (and if they refuse to appear before GEO TV , then GEO TV should inform its audience about their refusal).
I expect GEO TV will play its leading role in covering this news.

Please Note: I am forwarding my mail to many of my contacts for transparency and your prompt converage of news.
I have taken the list of GEO TV contacts from http://www.geo.tv/geopages/contactus.htm

Asalamualikum, I have mailed twice to GEO TV about this issue, but so far I have not received any response from their side. Its really disappointing that issue related to the honor of Muslim woman seems to be ignored by a highly prestigious channel of Pakistan. I hope someone would rectify and do the needful. I am forwarding this news to every media I came across to, hoping that someone from media of Pakistan would do the required job in hands and represent the voice of Muslim Ummah, humanity and justice. This news is extremely important in terms of exposing form of terrorism from West so that justice could prevail and secondly its also related to security of Muslims in future if one plans to visit countries' guilty of terrorism and barbaric way of treating Muslims. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, I am bringing this fact and disappointing role of media of Pakistan in front of people, so that people can decide whether it is only disappointment, shame of honor, crimine or betrayal. What is left from here is to hear voices from print media against such deafening reponse of visual media of Pakistan. The point that circulates in my mind is "Where is the land that I knew as Land of Pure" Following are the links that covered this news Internationally (I cannot understand Arabic but emotion talks here) |

Good work Atif!
ReplyDeletewe all need to email them and pressurize them to cover this news also.
JazakAllah Brother for sharing your thoughts, but I think this is not about pressurizing them only, its about the self-respect that is missing in the media of Pakistan, we hear disappointing synonyms for Muslims(terrorists) in our media regularly but when the proved height of terror reaches from west, they seems to sit in the corner of west against the opinion of every Pakistani. Its really sad that we have no media that represents the voice of Pakistan and moreover the voice of Pakistan's idea i.e. Islam.
ReplyDeleteConcern is People's voice have no freedom or representation at any level.
O our sister .. hum shariminda hain ..
ReplyDeleteO aafia siddiqui .. teray muslim brothers sharminda hain ..
when u grab us by our collars at the day of judgment and ask us what did we do for you honor, we will have no answer .. we will be sharminda in front of our biological mothers and sisters .. and no one will have pity on us that day
:( :( :(
Good work Towards change!!!! We are all in habit of acting as deaf n blind. What a pity our own media is always showing one side of the picture. Just see how proactive they are when they are covering swat like incidents. how we can complain about western media. These incidents show for whom they are working.
ReplyDeleteRegards:
Omair
geo is totally CIA funded they will never make this issue public
ReplyDeleteJazakAllah to all Brothers and Sisters for sharing your viewpoint.
ReplyDeleteI agree to your points, we sure need Freedom for Islam and Justice. I believe in one thing that I self compiled for myself.
"If defense lies in defending soil, then we have land today but if defense lies in defending ideology then we must accept we are defeated and we have to fight back"
very well done Atif, we should be ashamed as a nation to not voice these kind of issues publically. i hope and pray that your efforts will be fruitless.
ReplyDeleteI add one thing to you that media is a tool of western world and therfore they use it to secure their own interests as if u read Yahoodi Protcols , u would understand it clearly . So we may not expect any favour about Islam or Muslims.
ReplyDeleteJazakAllah brothers, for sharing your views. I am sure actions speak louder than words and here we can really see the role of "FREE MEDIA"
ReplyDeleteHow can they put it on air, who will fund them after putting this on air..
ReplyDeleteOnly independent countries have independent voice. Its myth and lie known as "FREE MEDIA". It requires an effort against the wind to speak for voice of people of Pakistan, I read and heard it, the Muslim in Alhind before 1947 had same problem, i.e. no representation of their voice and today we have same problem, what have change though is a flag and color of human skin in the form leadership.
ReplyDeleteJazakAllah
ReplyDeletefor your efforts. you clearly exposed the double standards of pakistani media.
